Parkinson’s UK

ELOVATE is proud to have supported the launch of Parkinson’s UK’s Kitchen and dining range from their Everyday Living Aids range on Tesco Marketplace as part of Tesco’s “Now We’re Cooking” campaign.

Developed through Channel 4’s Diversity in Advertising Award, the campaign aims to make the kitchen a more inclusive space by promoting accessible cooking experiences and design. It also addresses a significant gap in digital accessibility, as many online recipes remain difficult for people with a range of disabilities to use. According to The Diversity Standards Collective, 60% of people with disabilities face barriers when accessing online recipes.

To help tackle this challenge, Tesco introduced more than 100 adapted recipes available in audio, Braille, eBook and smart-speaker formats. Alongside the initiative, adaptive cooking tools were made available through Tesco Marketplace in partnership with Parkinson’s UK.

Parkinson’s UK’s Everyday Living Aids range includes practical kitchen and dining products designed to help people maintain confidence and independence at home. From ergonomic utensils and kettle tippers to curved knives and non-slip mats, the collection has been carefully curated to improve accessibility, safety and everyday living.

Reflecting on the opportunity, Sue Mills, Trading Lead at Parkinson’s UK said:

“It was a real privilege and incredibly exciting to partner with Tesco on this campaign. It has given us a fantastic opportunity to showcase our Everyday Living Aids range to a much wider audience and, most importantly, help more people with Parkinson’s, and other conditions live as independently and confidently as possible.”

Behind the scenes, ELOVATE supported the technical integration of the product range onto Tesco Marketplace within an exceptionally tight 10-day timeframe. Although this was ELOVATE’s first-ever Tesco Marketplace integration, we worked closely with our warehouse management system (WMS) partners, Orderwise, and were able to utilise its existing direct Mirakl integration to accelerate the implementation process. Through close collaboration between all parties involved, the solution was delivered ahead of schedule despite the compressed project timeline.

Sue Mills commented:

“The turnaround was incredibly fast. We had just 10 days to deliver the integration. Rob, Mark and ELOVATE’s CEO, Victoria, were all heavily involved throughout the project and made a potentially challenging process seem effortless. Victoria’s willingness to get involved, share her expertise and use her industry connections was invaluable. The team were always available whenever we needed them, meeting with us and Tesco at short notice and remaining flexible throughout. They really went above and beyond, and thanks to their hard work we were even ready to launch ahead of schedule.”

ELOVATE has partnered with Parkinson’s UK for more than 15 years, supporting the charity’s ecommerce fulfilment operations and helping deliver an exceptional experience for its customers.

Speaking about the partnership, Sue said:

“Parkinson’s UK has worked with ELOVATE for around 15 years, and I’ve personally been involved in the partnership for 13 of those. During this time, we’ve worked with many different people across the business, but one thing has always remained consistent: the team’s commitment to delivering exceptional service. Our current Account Manager, Rob, is absolutely fantastic and always goes the extra mile—even running to the warehouse when needed! I visit ELOVATE regularly and have built great relationships with teams across the warehouse and other departments, which makes working together easy. Everyone is approachable, supportive and genuinely invested in helping us succeed. The team at ELOVATE really do understand Parkinson’s, and what our community needs.”

The launch on Tesco Marketplace represents an important milestone for Parkinson’s UK, increasing the visibility of accessible living aids while making it easier for more people to discover products that support independent living. As one of the UK’s largest retail platforms, Tesco Marketplace enables these specialist products to reach a much wider audience while generating additional income to fund the charity’s vital work.

Looking ahead, the integration also marks the beginning of Parkinson’s UK’s wider marketplace strategy Sue said:

“This is our first marketplace integration, and it’s been a great success, with orders coming in every day since launch. It has allowed us to test how our products perform on a marketplace while introducing our Everyday Living Aids range to new customers. The success of this project has given us the confidence to explore additional marketplaces in the future and expand beyond cookware into other product categories. ELOVATE played a key role in making this possible, and we’re confident they’ll continue to support us as our ecommerce strategy grows.”

Every purchase from the Everyday Living Aids range contributes directly to Parkinson’s UK’s vital research, campaigning and support services, helping to improve life for the 166,000 people living with Parkinson’s in the UK today.
