ELOVATE supports the RSPB with survey response handling for their Big Garden Birdwatch campaign.
The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) Big Garden Birdwatch is the world’s largest garden wildlife survey, taking place every year during the last weekend of January. Participants spend one hour observing and recording the highest number of each bird species they see in their garden, from a balcony, or in a local green space.
In the latest campaign, more than 650,000 people took part, collectively counting over 9 million birds. The data gathered provides invaluable insight into the health of UK garden bird populations, helping the RSPB monitor trends, identify species in decline and inform future conservation efforts.
To support this nationwide campaign, ELOVATE provided secure and accurate survey response handling services, successfully processing more than 45,000 survey responses within the agreed project timescales. From post opening and document scanning through to data validation and quality assurance, every stage of the process was carefully managed to ensure the highest levels of accuracy and efficiency. The success of the project was made possible by the dedication of teams across the business, including colleagues who volunteered additional hours to help meet the campaign’s demanding deadlines.
“ELOVATE successfully processed over 45,000 responses for our Big Garden Birdwatch project, delivering accurate results ahead of agreed timescales. We were pleased with the service provided and can’t recommend them enough.”
Throughout the project, ELOVATE maintained an error rate of 0.11%, ensuring the RSPB received reliable, high-quality data to support its research and conservation work. By combining robust quality assurance processes with efficient response handling, ELOVATE helped the charity deliver one of its most important annual campaigns with confidence.
